How A Latvian Entrepreneur Ditched A 5-Star Hotel To Stay With A Local Host In London

Just three days after our soft launch on June 12th, Uldis Leiterts, an entrepreneur from Riga and co-founder of Infogr.am (make your own infographics), found a local entrepreneur to stay with in London using Startup Stay.

A couple of days after sending a few “Request-to-Stay” messages, Uldis (left) got a positive reply from  Guy Armitage: a Swiss entrepreneur based in London, founder of Zealous Co (Promotes artists & allows them to collaborate online).

Uldis’ startup was on of the winners of the TechAllStars competition and received a ticket to attend LeWeb in London with all expenses covered.
Even though Uldis could have easily stayed at a 5-Star hotel, he looked, instead,  for a way to maximise his networking during those days in London and meet other entrepreneurs.

Guy hosted Uldis for three nights and both had a fantastic experience!

Startup Stay launched two weeks ago and already has entrepreneurs available in 120 cities from 37 countries!

Check out these two very short videos with Uldis and Guy sharing their first Startup Stay encounter. Enjoy!
